Neil Diamond’s Aug. 29 concert, moved to Sept. 1o after he was diagnosed with acute laryngitis, has been moved to Nov. 2.

All tickets for the original date will be honored at the Nov. 2 date, and refunds are available at point of purchase.

In a statement, Diamond said: “I want to put on the best possible show for all my St. Louis fans so I’m following my doctor’s advice to take a little extra time to rest my voice. I want to thank my fans and assure them that their patience will be rewarded when I hit the stage.”

On Neil Diamond.com, he apologizes to the fans who attended the concert in Columbus, OH in late August because he went forward with the show despite the fact that he had a bad throat infection. The next day a complete refund was issued to everyone at that concert. So, it is good that he will take the extra time to “heal”.

Bummer! My dad coudn’t go with my mom to the rescheduled concert so I was going to fill-in, now I guess he’ll expect to go. Good idea to follow Drs orders and not make it worse though!

Now my husband won’t have to decide between our tickets to the Cards/Cubs game and our tickets for the concert. Great!!!

A terrific disappointment. Bless him and I hope he recovers soon. And I get my money back.
