Tickets for the Jan. 13 AC/DC concert at Scottrade Center are $92, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, as tipped in this space previously.

Those tickets are available at Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, 314-241-1888, and at the box office.

There is a four-ticket limit per person.

AC/DC’s “Black Ice” world tour coincides with the upcoming CD of the same name, scheduled for release Oct. 20.

$92? Seems a little steep.

I would love to go but there is no way I am paying $92 to see them. you are talking $200+ for a couple to go after the service charges and stuff.

Wow AC/DC is a great band but 92.00 for 1 ticket no way I can afford to go.

Not many people are going to be going at $92 a ticket. AC/DC has offically sold out! There is no way I would support anyone arrogant enough to charge that much.

It seems that all the entertainment is being priced to where only the wealthy can afford it. Sports, concerts, plays, you name it. It’s all getting out of reach for the common man. We have to settle for buying the CD if we can pull that off.

Wow, that’s too bad, can’t afford that. Who do they think they are, Barbara Streisand??!!

I’m not sure I have much right to comment on high ticket prices, as I go to concerts for free…

That said, I was surprised at the uprising over prices for AC/DC. I’ve always felt arena shows lent themselves to higher ticket prices right off the bat. It just seems expected.

Then I checked prices on other recent shows at Scottrade and came up with this:
– Metallica, $55.50-$75.50
– Neil Diamond, $52.50-$117.50
– New Kids on the Block, $27-$67
– Celine Dion, $85-$125

So, it seems you can find a much cheaper ticket than AC/DC’s, and well as higher tickets.

I guess it’s all about how much you really like this band. I hope the show is supported. That’ll bode well when it comes to booking the next big show.

I love AC/DC and saw them the last time they came to STL. They are awesome and I promised my 15 year-old son I would take him if they came again. That said, at a time where so many are losing their jobs, homes, etc. I am going to have to break that promise.

AC/DC was nonthing but a gutter band. All noise and no musical talent, what so-ever.They made KISS look like a world-class rock band.I wouldn’t go the the concert if it was free to get in.

$92.00??? I was thinking of taking my son to see them for his birthday - it would be his first concert and he loves their music, but that is way too expensive of a birthday present! I guess I’ll buy some downloads instead.
