“Eccentric Soul” CD digs deep into East St. Louis’ music history
Numero Group, a record company priding itself in unearthing the dustiest of long-forgotten music gems in various cities, makes its way to East St. Louis.
The tenth release in the Numero Group’s “Eccentric Soul” series is all about the Young Disciples, a ’60s and ’70s-era collective of acts who hailed from the area.
The acts were under the guidance of Allen Merry, who worked with Ray Charles and Lou Rawls.
“Eccentric Soul: The Young Disciples” will be released Oct. 21.
