“Notorious” movie trailer: Watch and weigh in on B.I.G. biopic
A new, extended trailer was just unveiled for the Notorious B.I.G. biopic “Notorious,” hitting theaters in January.
The film features newcomer Jamal Woolard as the slain rapper, Angela Bassett as his mother Voletta Wallace, Derek Luke as music mogul Sean Combs, and Anthony Mackie as rival rapper 2Pac. Suge Knight, Lil’ Kim, and Faith Evans are also portrayed in the film.
Judging by the trailer, are you going to rush out and see the R-rated “Notorious,” or does it look like it should’ve been a made-for-BET feature?
Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade. 
C’mon man?! How can you go wrong w/Angela Bassett in the flick?! She brings instant credibility to a story millions of hip hop fans care about. As long as the script sticks to the facts, the film will survive and surpass the hype. I’ll be there on 01.16.09!
It looks interesting to me and I would pay to see it. One question though, why doesn’t Angela Bassett have a jamaican accent like Voletta Wallace does? She’s a Yale-trained actor, she should know how to carry that off.
I would definitely go see this and I don’t even really like going to the movies. Long live B.I.G.
