One thing we’ve learned about the still-young St. Louis Fashion Week is the after-parties are always poppin.’

And that’s sure to go for this year as well.

Here’s the rundown on this week’s Fashion Week after parties:
– 10 p.m. Tuesday, Project: Design/Budweiser Select party, Lush

– 10 p.m. Wednesday, Current/Budweiser Select party, SLeeK

– 10 p.m. Thursday, Surface/Budweiser Select party, SLeeK

– 10 p.m. Friday, Liquid Style/Budweiser Select party, SLeeK

– 10 p.m. Saturday, Flow/Red Label & U.C. Me party, SkyBox

Admission to the after parties are free for those with St. Louis Fashion Week tickets, $5 at the door Tuesday-Thursday, and $10 Friday and Saturday.

The actual shows are at Lumiere Place, except for Project: Design, which is at the Contemporary Art Museum. Shows are $35 at the door; $65 for a week-long pass.

Surprised to find details about St. Louis Fashion Week on the Blender. I guess I should look for the next concert announcement on Deb’s Style File?

Hi there Do It Diva,
I’m thinking you won’t find concert announcements on Deb’s Style File, just as you won’t find fashion news here. But you will find nightlife news here, and St. Louis Fashion Week has a huge nightlife element to it that I would be remiss to ignore.
See you at the hotspots!

Who cares if the information is here or in both places? Why is that important?

Hi there Kevin,
Actually, I looked at Deb’s Style File and didn’t find a single mention of St. Louis Fashion Week there. Odd?

Sarah,
Who cares? I care. Period. Thanks…

Kev, don’t let the haters get to you. Keep doing your thing. I’m a big fan of your column. Obviously, there are those that are a little bitter they didn’t get a call back for any of the fashion shows. Keep reporting the news on the St. Louis party scene…you are what keeps most of these venues going.

Hey Kevin…

See you at the hotspots? Yeah right, Wilco came here for a 3 night stand and you didn’t go to any of them. You need to hire someone with taste!

Wow.
Am I still being chastised for not attending the Wilco shows?
Seriously?
Again, sorry for life getting in the way of my seeing Wilco.
What should matter is that I sent another reporter to review the show in my place, so Wilco was covered.
But let’s bring it up again five months from now, just as a reminder.
I don’t mind.
Seriously.

I agree with Eric. Your absence at the Wilco concerts shows your lack of dedication to your job. There are so many great shows that get no press in this paper. The Bluebird has been putting on so many great indie rock shows here and they never get mentioned on your tastless blog. Wake up and get out!

What is wrong with John C Kevinson? Who are you to tell someone how to do their job…and what they should cover? Kevin C. Johnson has been a very influential part of the local and national music scene. He’s covered some of the biggest names in the industry and some of the not so big names. Janet to Geraldine Jenkins…I havent found any local writer that writes about so many diverse artist and events, from country, rap, pop to jazz. He is only one man, and cant be everywhere all the time. You obviously are not a real reader of his work, or you would know that he covers many artist of all backgrounds, and are not just at the “hotspots”. And many of my peers (guys in our 20’s) only buy the Post because they have a diverse and talent entertainment writer like Kevin. And if I didnt search the web for “Kevin Johnson blogs”…I would have never found this site.
