Wehrenberg shows “LOVE” for Beatles/Cirque du Soleil’s collaboration
Fans of the Beatles and Cirque du Soleil show “Love” can get a look at how the big production came together with “All Together Now,” a making-of documentary showing on several Wehrenberg movie screens locally Oct. 20.
Show times are at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., with Ronnies 20 Cine, O’Fallon 15 Cine, Arnold 14 Cine, Town Square 12 Cine, and Galaxy 14 Cine participating.
This is a one-night-only event.
The documentary looks at the creation of LOVE, the Vegas-set production in which Cirque du Soleil pays extravagant homage to the Beatles. Among the depictions in the film are the creative differences over how to best visually represent the songs.
Movie-goers can enter a sweepstakes with a grand prize of receiving a pair of tickets to see “LOVE” live, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour, round trip airfare, a stay at the Mirage, and a copy of every Beatles CD.
Tickets are $12, with group discounts available, at the box office or online at www.wehrenberg.com.
In a statement, director Adrian Wills said: “Seeing this documentary on the big screen will truly be a moving experience for the viewer as they witness the creation of the show LOVE. The digital cinema projection and amazing 5.1 sound allow us to envelop the audience in the grandiose visual world of Cirque du Soleil and legendary music of The Beatles.”

Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade.
Am I hating, or is this experience really worth $12?
Is this the same thing that was on cable TV a few months ago?
To proacting75 - I wouldn’t say you’re hating at all. For those of us who love The Beatles, it’s a must see and I’ll gladly pay $12 to see some behind-the-scenes insight.
Granted, I’d really like to see the show itself; I saw the Delirium performance and thought is was worth $20 because it’s a WHOLE lot cheaper than seeing it live. Not saying it wouldn’t be more impressive live, but it would be 5 - 10 times more expensive for the ticket alone. $12 for the documentary is OK with me, but I’m still one of those people who prefer seeing things at the movies instead of DVD. As the expression goes, “your mileage may vary.”
To bam - I believe you’re referring to a special BBC ran on these special or upscale entertainment shows. If so, than they did borrow some of this footage, but they didn’t show anywhere near the entirity of the show. This will be new.
