Sorry hes just not funny to me….I tried but I can’t take him….NEXT!
I just hope he is funnier than when he was here at the Pageant when only 75 people came out to see him.
I’m sorry it was more than 75 people…maybe 87
is this venue the old Laughs on the Landing?
DL has been hit or miss for me in the past, but I encourage people to give him a second chance. His show on CNN is usually pretty funny. I think he has a talent for political comedy, something like John Stewart or Stephen Colbert. If he keeps the content of his performance consistent with the content of his show, I think he could do really well. He’s also a REALLY smart guy.
Brad, this venue is in the heart of Laclede’s Landing. And if memory serves, it’s the old Laughs on the Landing.

I don’t think that I have ever really been a die-hard fan of DL’s. I can now say with all certainty now, I am no DL fan. After watching the first two episodes of his CNN show, I am through with him. In our new Obama-era, expectations are high for each of us. As a black comedian, he needs to also step up his own game. The day of quick jokes based on pimps and such buffoonery are over and so should be his shtick!
