Young country-pop singer Taylor Swift debuts at the top of the Billboard 200 this week, selling 592,000 copies of her “Fearless” CD.

That’s more than enough to squash debuts from David Archuleta, T-Pain, and the latest “Now” compilation.

Last week’s champ, the soundtrack to “Twilight,” took a tumble to the No. 5 spot.

Here’s the top ten, according to Nielsen/SoundScan:

1. Taylor Swift, “Fearless,” 592,000 copies sold

2. David Archuleta, “David Archuleta,” 183,000

3. Various artists, “Now That’s What I Call Music Vol. 29,” 172,000

4. T-Pain, “Thr33 Ringz,” 167,000

5. Various artists, “Twilight” soundtrack, 107,000

6. AC/DC, “Black Ice,” 105,000

7. Various artists, “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” 94,000

8. Enya, “Winter Came,” 92,000

9. Christina Aguilera, “Keeps Gettin’ Better,” 73,000

10. T.I., “Paper Trail,” 62,000

Also, for those keeping track, Nelly’s “Brass Knuckles” has dropped out of the Billboard 200 after two months on the chart.
