Bon Jovi beats out Bruce Springsteen for year’s biggest tour
Bon Jovi’s “Lost Highway” tour was tops in 2008, beating out tours from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Celine Dion, the Eagles, and others.
Bon Jovi grossed $210.6 million on tour this year, according to Billboard Boxscore, which tracked concerts from Nov. 14, 2007 to Nov. 11, 2008.
Over 2,157,000 fans saw Bon Jovi on its AEG Live tour during that period.
The highest-grossing engagement of the year was the Spice Girls’ 17 sellouts at O2 Arena, taking in 33.8 million and drawing 256,647 fans.

10. Rascal Flatts, $55.8 million
Overall, concert grosses totaled just under $4 billion worldwide, up 13% over last year, though concert attendance was flat. North American concert attendance was down 2%.

I think Bon Jovi and Genesis with Phil Colins should have both came to St. Louis! Both of these bands still get their songs played on the classic and soft rock stations but always play in Chicago and K.C. Why isn’t Scottrade Center big enough to hold shows like these? Our town did get the Police in 2007 and Springsteen this year. I have never seen Bon Jovi and they are one of the best bands!
