New blocks of seats close to the stage have been released for AC/DC’s Jan. 13 concert at Scottrade Center.

Adjustments have been made to the staging to make release of the seats possible. The seats will be released to the public at 5 p.m. today.

In a statement, Mark Campana, president, Midwest Music for Live Nation, said “We are excited to be able to offer this additional opportunity for fans to buy tickets. The production team is working to modify the stage and increase the sight lines. These seats are close to the stage and will offer a great view of the concert.”

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com, 314-241-1888, and at the box office.

AC/DC’s new CD is “Black Ice.”

The problem is that the cheapest seats in the arena for AC/DC are $103 after surcharges. Plus the Scottrade center is charging $10 for beer at concerts.

I’m guessing that someone didn’t get the memo about the recent economic downturn.

News Flash: It’s a voluntary event. If you have other places to spend your money like food or shelter, then it’s fairly obvious what you should do. I love when people act like a concert is in the same realm as life saving medicine.

Was there a memo on the recent economic downturn? I am not saying there shouldn’t be a memo, but if there was one I did not see it and it is very possible AC/DC did not get it either. Even if they did get it, I don’t think we should count on AC/DC reading memos. These guys peel the skin off your face with songs about hell. They are not likely to be reviewing memos before they take the stage or get on their tour bus. It is very possible the band has no clue there has been an economic downturn, so I am going to forgive the lads for charging 100 supersize bills to see the show. Now, if you are mad that someone at Scottrade didn’t get the memo on the economic downturn, that I can understand. But again, I did not see this memo myself. Dweebe, you probably have read the memo so, if you will, please clip and paste here if it is in electronic form. If you have it on paper, just any highlights from the memo would be appreciated. Thanks.

The price of a seat to see AC/DC is very reasonable if you ask me. If you can’t afford to go, you don’t go. I spent $513 to take my family of four. Best $500 I ever spent. Tickets are going for 10 times face value and I can understand why.
AC/DC is about release. Releasing yourself from the real world and enjoying the rock n’ roll ride. I am in a very busy time at my work and I continually take myself back to last friday in Vancouver because of the happiness that show brought me.
I hope to see the boys again, but if I don’t, I salute them. And if you want memos, go see U2.
