Kanye West tops new releases from Guns ‘N Roses, Ludacris
Guns ‘N Roses’ too long-in-the-making comeback was no match for big-headed rapper Kanye West.
West’s latest, “808s & Heartbreak,” sold 450,000 copies its first week out to top the Billboard 200. He handily topped the veteran rock band’s Best Buy exclusive “Chinese Democracy.”
West’s numbers, however, were his lowest for a debut week since his first CD, “The College Dropout,” which sold 441,000 its first week.
Beyonce’s “I Am…Sasha Fierce,” the previous week’s best-selling CD, fell to No. 4.
