Suite Soul Spot celebrating first anniversary Tuesday
Monthly R&B music showcase Suite Soul Spot celebrates its first anniversary Tuesday night at the Old Rock House.
Special host for the night is singer Eric Roberson, Suite Soul Spot’s most popular performer.
Anniversary performers include Ngoma, Jarrard Anthony, and surprise guests.
Suite Soul Spot has been an often spotty affair, from lacking attendance to last-minute changes in the lineup. But during its first year, it has done well exposing St. Louis to underground soul artists, both nationally and locally, who may otherwise go unnoticed.
Admission is $10. Get more information at www.myspace.com/suitesoulspot.

SUITE SOUL SPOT is really one of my favorite events in St. Louis and tomorrow with ERIC ROBERSON hosting, I will be there acting like a stalker with camera in hand and all. I’m also excited to see Jarrad Anthony in concert and who these “surprise guests” will be.
I applaud Vanita and her team for putting on such a great event month after month!
You know I’m a teeny bit biased, but I’d cry if missed Suite Soul Spot. It’s possibly my only “can’t miss” event because it’s always good and I get exposed to artists living under the RADAR.
i have to work tomorrow night but im gonna try to make it out. not only am i looking forward to see great acts, im also looking forward to seeing all of you!
I’m still a little upset that Eric Roberson won’t be performing but it doesn’t matter because SUITE SOUL SPOT is a treat no matter who rocks the mic. I will be there front and center and ready for the show.
