Cafe Soul finds new home, new night
R&B open microphone event Cafe Soul, in a small bit of limbo after Lucas School House closed unexpectedly last month, has found a new home.
Through April, Cafe Soul will take place the fourth Saturday of the month at the Old Rock House. Previously, it was on the third Friday of the month at Lucas School House.
The first date at the new location is Jan. 31 — technically the fifth Saturday of this particular month.
Cafe Soul host Coco Soul says “this is very exciting for Cafe Soul. It’s a new year with new energy. This will enable us to house more people, and everybody will be able to see the stage. It’ll be all-inclusive.”

Congratulations to the ladies of Cafe Soul on finding a new venue for their monthly event! I have never been to the Old Rock House before, so this will be a double treat for me! I am looking forward to all of the “NEWness” of Cafe Soul….NEW year, NEW venue, NEW night, and NEW energy!!!

lucas, shall be missed but the change of venue should be cool. seems like the Old Rock House is going to be the spot in 09!
