Check out my predictions Sunday in the Post-Dispatch. The Grammys air Sunday night on CBS.

Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade.
Paper Planes is a great song. But so is Please Read the Letter, as long as one of thise win, it will be a good result.
Coldplay better not get this award. Those no talent hacks stole Viva La Vida from Joe Satriani. Anyone who says they didn’t is a fanboy. It’s the same rhythm, cord progression, heck lookup on youtube where a guy put both songs on top of each other. Coldplay’s vocals matched right up with “If I Could Fly”.
I love Paper Planes. Isn’t the lead singer pregnant? I think I saw her on Media takeout. If that lady is touring,rapping/singing pregnant she is an ultimate hustler. That song is a hit in the clubs, even the urban ones.
It’s something about “Bleeding Love” that made me vote for it………maybe I should have gone with “Viva La Vida”
Ugh. I HATE Coldplay and can’t figure out what everyone sees in them!
I can’t believe this is the best list they could come up with! I can think of WAY better songs for song of the year.
I would have picked “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, but what do I know?
My previous post should say record of the year, not song of the year.
I’m honestly not sure if Paper planes is Grammy-worthy, but it is a fun song. It was nice to hear it in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ as well…although I have to say that there were a couple of songs better that blows “Paper Dolls” out of the water.
