Blender 1000: Click here to win Fleetwood Mac tickets
Update: Thanks for the overwhelming response to this contest. The questions posted by readers were overwhelmingly good. After some tough back and forth with the serious vs. funny questions, I decided I was most intrigued by Jim’s question.
“The band’s late 70s/early 80s excesses have been pretty well documented and that was at a time before “paparazzi/celebrity culture” (TMZ, etc) became such a huge part of fame. Do you think the band could have survived (let alone thrived) with the scrutiny of today’s media climate?”
Thanks everyone, and please try another Blender contest this week!
End update
Just what is the perfect Fleetwood Mac interview question?
There has got to be a ton of them for a band as long-running as Fleetwood Mac, a classic that has been as interesting off stage as on stage.
Come up with what you think would be the best, most original, or funniest interview question for Fleetwood Mac, and a pair of tickets to the group’s May 5 concert at Scottrade Center is yours.
Submit questions until 5 p.m. today in the comments section of this posting in the Blender.
The winning question will be posted on the Blender, and the winner will be notified through their email.
The Blender is celebrating its first anniversary and 1,000th posting with giveaways through Friday.

Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade.
To all the band members: Have the quality of groupies gotten better or worse over the years of touring ?
Some of the greatest songs of all time reflect the era they were written in. In the 30’s Robert Johnson sung the blues when the entire country felt the desperation of the economy, Bob Dylan felt the times were changing during 60’s, and the 70’s saw John Lennon imagining an improved more peaceful world. Do you feel the current array of music today is a good representation of present time and attitude? What type of album would best represent our current state?
During your years on the road what is most requested and/or most well received song during the years? I know my absolute favorite is “The Chain” and I know I would be so happy to hear that song performed live and in person.
With all the tensions in the past, is there any new conflicts brewing between the band?
Which would you consider to be the better tribute to you, Fleetwood Mac: The Musical, Fleetwood Mac: A Lifetime Original, or a the Fleetwood Mac episode on Wheel of Fortune?
What do you eat on your hotdogs?
Where did the idea for Tuck originate and why wasnt the UCLA band used?
In years past, when was the happiest time for the band, when everyone got along and everything clicked and seemed magical?
Your band has been around since the late 1960’s. Keeping people interested in your music is hard enough for artists in todays music world to do for a few years. How have you been able to keep your fans interested and your band as strong as you have over the last 4 decades?
Your ability to bridge the musical gaps amongst your listeners has been a key ingredient in your longevity as a band. Do you think that you could have been bigger than you are? By that I mean, do you think if you were to have paired with, say, Ice-T, or Dr. Dre or even the Beastie Boys in a 1990’s rap/rock collaboration, you would have gone above “musical god status”, like Aerosmith did with Run DMC?
