Concert update: 3 Doors Down added to Aerosmith concert
3 Doors Down has just been announced as the opening act for the June 10 Aerosmith concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.
As we already know, ZZ Top is opening the rest of the tour, but is not on the tour’s first date at Verizon.
Tickets are $41, $55, $79, $130, and $200, with a lawn four-pack available at well.
Tickets are on sale now at www.livenation.com, 877-598-8703, at the box office, and at select Blockbuster locations.

Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade.
Yeah, I just saw this on Live nation….I will 3 Doors Down over ZZ top ANYDAY! Makes the price of the tickets a little easier to take!
I agree…not sure others would LOL
I would have much prefered Three Dog Night. Or Third Eye Blind. Or Three Days Grace. Or Three 6 Mafia. Heck, give me The Three Tenors or just play Three Dollar Bill Y’all on the loudspeakers until Aerosmith gets out there. Better yet, bring out the three dudes who should be here, Z.Z. Top. Not Three Doors Down, please.
Hey wait a minute! I thought the band “Heart” with Ann Wilson was scheduled to open for the first part of the tour. I like 3 Doors Down but I think Heart would make a better opening act. Steven Tyler and Aerosmith sould rethink their strategy!
Heart was talked about, and seemed like the front runner. But in the end it went to 3 Doors Down.
