Lush nightclub looks like a wrap
Lush nightclub, 3037 Olive St., looks like a wrap.
A couple of sources say the club recently and quietly closed, and it sure was dark over there all weekend.
Neither the club’s web site or MySpace pages are updated with that information, and calls to the club’s management weren’t returned.
Lush opened the fall of 2007, and boasted several levels of entertainment including a rooftop patio, and a glitzy look. Many hot promotions took place at Lush.
Then the original owners sold the club to undisclosed owners last fall, and it transformed into a more urban and younger spot.
It was outside of Lush where St. Louis fashion designer Shawn Williams of Eyekon was killed by a car in October.
Not long before closing, Lush featured Bow Wow and Chingy’s birthday parties, and a Bobby Valentino concert.
Lush may resurface in the summer as another entity.

I’ve always wondered how people knew what the hot nightclubs were for any given time, since things change so quickly in the industry. Lush has only been open a year and a half and it’s already over. Who do you have to know to keep up on this, and how do you know when a hot nightclub is now lame? It seems strange that someone has to be well connected to know where the best clubs are, but then again the beautiful people fly like the wind when they see the uglies invade their dance space.
Very sad. Lush was a pretty nice spot with some pretty decent events. Hopefully they will refine it and bring it back.
And yet places like Morgan Street have been open for YEARS. . . Maybe it’s the people who frequent the places??? Maybe???
This kinda wreaks of rebranding to me; but then again I would’ve expected some sort of an exit announcement, however quiet. I guess we’ll see what pops up this fall.
DO YOU BELIVE IN KARMA? DO U BELIEVE IN HEAVEN? THATS ALL I CAN SAY RIGHT NOW….STAY TUNED
Ah this is to bad. It will be back with a new name and new design. That walk from the front door to the back was always a nightmare…………maybe they can change that
