Concert announcement: Pointfest Party at Pop’s

The season’s second Pointfest concert comes to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Aug. 23, with details on who’s performing coming Friday at the $3 Throwdown Pointfest Announcement Party at Pop’s.
Thom and Jeff of KPNT-FM (105.7 the Point) will broadcast live from Pop’s and will announce the Pointfest line-up live on-air at 6 p.m.
Brookroyal, Copperview, Upright Animals, the New Translation, and Killer Me Killer You will perform at the announcement party.
Look for $3 appetizers and drinks, and Pointfest pit giveaways.
Admission for the announcement party is $3 at the door.

– Otep, Aug. 10, $15, on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
– Mushroomhead & Hed PE, Aug. 11, $18-$20, on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
– Haystak, Aug. 13, Kold Kace, Stogie, $15 on sale now.
Tickets to Otep and Mushroomhead are available is a special $25 package available only through Ticketmaster, not at Pop’s.

How in the world did such an amateurish band as Hed PE headline that show? The lead singer reminded me of an 8th grader trying to get attention, and he knows the teacher isn’t around, so he says all kinds of stupid things. Trouble is, he thought he sounded intelligent. He wasn’t.
