Green Day tour soars on way to Scottrade Center
Green Day’s new tour, coming to Scottrade Center Aug. 11, is finally off and running.
Reviews have been more than kind.
– Rolling Stone: “As if releasing a wave of energy that had been building up during their four-year hiatus from touring, Green Day poured all their heart and soul into a powerhouse two-hour set.”
– Spin: “The band’s relationship with its audience is disarmingly real, a cross-generational give-and-take that’s as punk as any Gilman Street scroungers today.”
– Seattle Times: “There are few bands that can hold an audience from the front of the stage to the bleeders the way Green Day can.”
– Seattle Weekly: “Green Day is clearly a band intent on giving people their money’s worth and thoroughly enjoying themselves in the process, which are ultimately the most important ingredients for a satisfying arena rock show.”
The tour is in support of the band’s “21st Century Breakdown” CD.
