Michael Jackson still king of the music charts
MIchael Jackson’s music sales are ruling the Billboard charts, even in death.
Jackson’s fans, as expected, swooped up copies of his albums after his unexpected death Thursday.
Nielsen Soundscan is reporting that Jackson/Jackson 5 albums hold the top nine spots on Billboard’s Top Pop Catalog chart, led by greatest hits compilation “Number Ones” at the number one spot.
“Number Ones” sold over 108,000 copies, with “The Essential Michael Jackson” and “Thriller” following closely behind.
