Just in time for Independence Day, St. Louis rockers Story of the Year pay tribute to those fighting in the armed forces with its new video for the single “Terrified,” from its “The Black Swan” CD.

The video looks at the emotions families feel as they pray for the safe return of their loved ones serving their country.

In a statement, Story of the Year singer Dan Marsala said: “The video for “Terrified” is pretty much a direct interpretation of the lyrics. A story of a husband who is off at war, scared of the fact that he might not ever make it home to his wife and family, and a pregnant wife who is left at home, not knowing if she will ever see her husband alive again.”

He adds: “It is an extremely touching subject because there are hundreds of thousands of families in America going through this exact scenario as we speak.  It has to be one of the most terrifying situations that any family could ever experience.  I think the video is a great representation of the story told in the lyrics and it is our tribute to all the families who suffer through this situation every day.”

Story of the Year will records its fourth CD this summer, and is looking at a release next year.
