Nelly unloads Skybox Bar & Grill?
It looks as if Nelly has quietly unloaded his Laclede’s Landing-based Skybox Sports Bar & Grill, the one that opened early last year with about 80 flat screen TVs includes at the urinals.
Nelly’s reps aren’t talking too definitively except to say that transition is afoot. The restaurant, owned by Nelly with Larry Hughes, Marshall Faulk, and Darius Miles, has apparently been sold.
A manager with the Skybox since it opened says any talk of change at the Skybox is premature. But when one calls Skybox’s phone number, the recorded message identifies the venue as the Levee/Skybox Sports Bar.
At www.lacledeslanding.com, it’s described as “the Levee (formerly the Skybox), an upscale sports bar offering a full lunch and dinner menu with a Cajun-Creole flair.”
The Levee/Skybox is closed now for its annual vacation, but will be open in time for Labor Day weekend.
The Levee/Skybox was previously home to Planet Hollywood. It took a $2.1 million makeover to turn Planet Hollywood into Skybox.

Never underestimate the power of too much money over common sense and logic!!!
Don’t tell me you didn’t see this coming. When this place first opened I laughed my ass off. Nelly try to come up with a better investment plan and fire your accountant. Nelly takes an L on this one.
No record sales along with no formula for making good new music add up to a life getting hard.
I bet Nelly and his partners lost a bundle on that venture! I feel sorry for the employees that may be losing their jobs at the restaurant!I wonder will Nelly have to hock some of his bling?
I bet all that commented never been to the place. The business is in a prime location and if it’s not profiable why were the new owners eager to buy the business?
