Black Rep kicking off weekend concert series
Michael Jackson, subject of a Black Rep tribute
The St. Louis Black Rep is starting up its own concert series, with a series of shows slated for next week at the Grandel Theatre.
– 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11, Coco Soul
– 7:30 p.m. Sept. 12, Tribute to Michael Jackson
– 3 p.m. Sept. 13, A Gospel Explosion.
Admission is $25 for each show.

I’d like to get a conversation started about if it’s time to change the name of the “Black Rep” so something less exclusive. Why does it have to still have the word “Black” in it?
onlythetruth - For heaven’s sake. It is not the “Black-only Rep. There is no reason on the face of this earth why it should be changed, regardless how less exclusive” you think it is. It’s not!
