Blink-182’s Sept. 3 concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater is postponed in the wake of DJ AM’s (Adam Goldstein’s) death to a possible drug overdose last week.
The new date is Sept. 29. Tickets will be honored at the new date. Refunds are available at point of purchase.
The band’s Mark Hoppus had this to say on Twitter: “After much thought and consideration, Blink-182 has rescheduled their next two shows in order for Travis Barker to mourn the loss of his dear friend Adam Goldstein. Blink-182 will now play St. Louis, MO on Sept 29 and Cleveland, OH on Sept 30. To accommodate the change, shows in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA have also moved to October 6th and 7th respectively. All previously purchased tickets will be honored and the band will resume their current tour on September 4th in Kansas City, MO.”
Refunds are available at point of purchase.
Weezer, Taking Back Sunday, and Chester French are also on the bill.

Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade.
Thanks for the update, Kevin!
No word on LiveNation cutting some of its $9 per ticket handling charge I bet …
Rest in Peace Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein.
With this passing I fear for the future of the arts in America.
St. Louis is outraged with the recent findings regarding Blink-182. After the cancel of the original tour date and promise of the reschedule, how much more can a fan take? How about a band change? That’s right, Blink just announced that Weezer and Taking Back Sunday are not going to be joining them when they finally stop here. Instead, the stage spot will be filled by Fallout Boy and All-American Rejects. Disappointed? You should be. This is not the age group the original concert was marketed towards. Ticket returns have been on the rise since the news was announced. As well, Craigslist and other third party sales sites have exploded with ticket sales trying to sell their ticket to the younger female crowd. Everyone knows St. Louis to be huge fans. If we are your fan, we will support you until the end… or until you pull something like this. After this show of character on Blink’s part, a large number of St. Louis fans were lost and will not be back.
