STL singer Sarvies survives another week on “StarMaker”
John Boy’s Courage singer Todd Sarvies survived yet another week on the MTV reality show “P. Diddy’s StarMaker,” taking him one step closer to a Bad Boy Records contract.
Sarvies was hoping he could perform one of his original songs this week, but wound up with Coldplay’s “Yellow.”
Two twists this week — instead of performing in one of two groupings based on gender, the competition threw together the male and female contestants.
And instead of performing in front of an audience, they performed in front of a non-smiling Diddy.
Diddy said he felt Sarvies hadn’t shown much dramatic growth, and he was disappointed he hadn’t seen a transformation in his performance. Sarvies said Diddy’s comments were contradictory to the judges’ comments the previous weeks, which they were.
Sarvies, not entirely convincingly, said he deserved to still be in the competition because he can bring something different to Bad Boy, and Diddy kept him another week.
“P. Diddy’s StarMaker” airs Sunday nights.
