Yes, but will they have the mono box set? That’s the big question…
Steve…yes. But in limited quantity.
I might have to take the day off. My copy of Beatles Rock Band should also be in that day. My family got it for me for Fathers’ Day.
Any idea when they’ll be available on iTunes?
I hear these remastered CD’s have liner notes with photos from the particular sessions (it’s about time Capitol treated these guys respectfully!) which their CD’s have never really possessed….we can only hope that some alternative tracks are included.
I purchased some ‘import’ CD’s about 14 years ago that featured entire recording sessions of the Beatles from 1963 through 1966. These are in superb sound quality - often better than the official releases. These CD’s contained EVERY outtake from such songs as ‘I Saw Her Standing There, One After 909, From Me To You, A Hard Day’s Night, Day Tripper, I Feel Fine,’ etc. They were - and still are - a phenomenal listen. You get to hear the ‘Fabs’ goof up in the middle of the performance, have false starts, chatter between takes.
I yearn for the day when Capitol/Apple releases ALL of the Beatles outtakes….will that EVER happen???
Kevin, does the “with extras” in your article refer to alternate takes of released songs, outtakes of unreleased songs, or something entirely different, like little promotional yellow submarines or little mop-top dolls, etc.? Also, do you know whether either George Martin or Geoff Emerick had anything to do with these remastered versions? If not, do you know who did?
Is anybody else having trouble getting the link to VV to open?
remastered CD extras include deluxe packaging, expanded liner notes, and previously unseen photos…
