Backstreets called Sunday night’s three-hour Bruce Springsteen concert at Scottrade Center a disappointment, but I’m thinking otherwise, to say the least. The rip-roaring show was concert of the year material, from opening song “Wrecking Ball” to closing number “Rosalita,” and the Boss’ crowd surfing in between.

Yes, crowd surfing.

Here’s how the set list went down Sunday night. A full review will appear later this morning online, and in Tuesday’s Post-Dispatch.

Unbelievable from start to finish. I don’t know how he can pour that much energy into a three hour show night after night, but I’m sure glad he does.

Saw his acoustic solo show at the Fox three years ago to actually hear the lyrics to his quiet and thoughtful songs like Johnny 99 from ‘Nebraska’. He played long and intense into the night then too.

It may not have been perfect, but it was inspiring. Dude is SIXTY YEARS OLD, and he played at full throttle for three hours. Amazing.

First time to see Bruce! Best show I have ever seen! He was the BEST!! He puts the 30, 40 and 50 year old guys to shame! Rock on, Bruce, Patti, and the E-Street Band!

It was a great concert, but would have loved to hear Glory Days or Born in the USA. Otherwise, the guy was impressive. He barely came up for air between songs - just kept playing!

Every time I see Bruce it’s the best show I’ve ever seen. Performing the entirety of Born to Run was magic. There’s something really cool about knowing what’s coming next.

Fantastic show; what an entertainer. We had the cheapest seats in the house and still had a great time. Very special hearing the whole Born to Run album in order.
