Six guys, one original member. This band, to me, is a joke. Almost as bad as Molly Hatchet with NO original members!
Well me, then stay home. That’s just one more ticket for someone else that wants to go!
Nah, me has a point. When is a band not THE band and a tribute band instead? I liked Foreigner back in the day but c’mon. Which one is the original? Is it the lead singer?
At first I was wondering what country this unnamed band was at the bar.
Well, Angelina, I will stay home. You can spend the $50.00 plus service charges to see this tribute band. BTW, the only original member is the guitarist, he hijacked the band years ago. To each their own.
The only original member of Foriginer is Fred.He is also the guy you see in the pop-up ad for CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS on the homepage of STL- Today.com.You know, the one that can’t be “x” out.
Actually unless he’s taken the last 5 yrs off, be glad it isn’t Lou Gramm singing. I saw him at Verizon about 5 yrs ago and he couldn’t hit a note to save his life. It was sad really, I was looking forward to hearing some of the old Foreigner classics, but his voice is (was) shot.
I don’t know which one you are calling “Fred” but I do think I see guitarist Mick Jones above (3rd from right), don’t recognize any of the others though.
I am glad the old folks will have something to do.
I actually saw Foreigner play last year in Hillsboro, MO and they were quite good. Mick Jones (blond-haired guitar player in middle in pic) wrote most of the songs so he still has rights to the band name and can definitely still play. The new singer sounds just like Lou Gramm but can sing on key and hit the high notes (which Lou currently cannot). Great guitar/sax player and Jeff Pilson on bass (formerly of Dokken) who is awesome. At the time I saw them, Jason Bonham was playing drums and totally rocked out. Different drummer now. Certainly not a “tribute” band. Fun show. Highly recommended to anyone that likes the tunes.
