Concert announcement: Jay-Z at Scottrade Center
Rapper Jay-Z
Rapper Jay-Z will perform March 19, 2010, at Scottrade Center as part of his BP3 Tour.
Young Jeezy is also on the bill.
Ticket prices are forthcoming, on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 14 at www.livenation.com, Ticketmaster outlets, 800-745-3000, and at the box office.
On Nov. 12, Jay-Z performs at the Assembly Hall in Champaign with N.E.R.D.
Jay-Z recently released “The Blueprint 3,” and performed at a recent World Series Game with Alicia Keys.
Kevin C. Johnson has covered the St. Louis' music and nightlife scene for the past decade.

I love the ignorance. I have two college degrees. I have never touched a gun, never committed a crime (other than maybe jay walking, no pun intended), and I’m a Christian. Jay-Z is one of my favorite preforming artists; much like I enjoy alt rock, indie rock, folk, pop, r&b singers. And let’s be honest, “Empire State Of Mind” is a hot song. Wish I could go to this show.

This will be a great show! I watched the 9/11 charity concert at Madison Square on TV, it was great. The show raised nearly $750,000. Can’t wait for this concert.

Amazing on how many racists make comments on stories here. The funny thing about it is I am an African American male from St. Louis. That said, I have more education than most of you whites who make the racist comments (Masters degree) plus I would like to think I am part of the solution versus sitting on the the sideline next to “Earl” or “Becky” gossiping and pointing the finger. Blacks are not going away we are here to stay so you should learn how to tolerate differences or leave!
