Sounds like poor ticket sales to me!

I’m not sure why, but with the economy down and ticket sales weakening, R&B/hip-hop groups are continuing to book large venues for their shows, with short notice. I think this show was announced only 2-3 weeks ago, and is canceled for what I assume is weak sales. You can’t expect a fading star like t-pain to sell out a mid-sized arena with only a 4-6 week period of ticket sales. It’s impractical, but this seems to be the norm for shows like this. If he would have sized down to the Fox Theater or Pageant, it would have sold out without trouble and everyone would be happy. Instead they stubbornly refuse to book arenas and play to a half-empty house. Kevin, why does this trend in live shows seem so pervasive in R&B/hip-hop?

Artists and their agents overestimate the artists actual worth. These guys are putting themselves out of business.

Street vendors in every corner of the world are killing artists record sales and touring can provide a pay day, but knucklehead promoters, artists and agents have yet to find the magic formula.

Common sense!!!!!!!
