Concert announcement: Lil Wayne returns to Chaifetz Arena
Get ready for more of rapper Lil Wayne in St. Louis.
The best-selling rapper is expected to return to the Chaifetz Arena on Jan. 8 for a local stop of his recently expanded “I Am Music” tour.
Also on the bill are T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Class Heroes, and Keri Hilson.
The venue has not yet announced this show, and ticket information is not available.
Lil Wayne last performed at Chaifetz Arena Labor Day weekend.

Keri Hilson is sure to put on a good show. Keyshia Cole is a little hit and miss for me on her live performances but if she brings her mother like she did when she was here for Super Jam then it will be worth the money to see her Frankie crazy behind on stage.
Gym Class Heroes? - uh o.k.
T-Pain? I guess the kids would like this show because he always looks like he is in the circus.
Lil Wayne? - NO THANK YOU
Can someone explain to me the continued success of Little (or Lil’ for those who didn’t graduate high school) Wayne? I’ve met 9 year olds who have a bigger vocabulary than this guy. It’s amazing how far he’s gotten with so little talent.
This is a GREAT line-up for multiple reasons. First, with the new season of “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is” now airing on BET and the continued progress of her family, Keyshia Cole is in a different place than she was the last time you saw her. It will be interesting to watch how this songbird is evolving. Gym Class Heroes - always great. The GCH always rock the house, and will be a good pairing with Wayne, as he “brings class to the gym” on the remix to “Viva La White Girl.” Also, after months of hearing rumors about a Lil’ Wayne & T-Pain collabo album we might get another taste of the irresistable concoction that this duo brews. I saw my boy Weezy the last time he was at Chaifetz, and he did not disappoint. He performed an ample selection of his extensive catalogue, doing everything from playing guitar, to freestyling. If you don’t love Weezy by now, you’re in the vast minority, and you probably haven’t really experienced his formidable lyrical talent. To cure your hateritis, I would prescribe generous doses of Wayne’s “Carter I, II, or III” (also may be substituted for “Dedication II or The Leak”). Take as directed and you should be cured in time to buy tickets.
How about a prescription of herb/420 also? Being on “level” with Lil Wayne certainly helps to appreciate his lyrical slayings. Trying to feel his collaboration on Kanye West’s newest album, 808s & Heartbreak.
