Biased Obama coverage, II

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

A follow-up thought — from one of our political writers — to yesterday’s posting on Sunday’s huge Obama coverage:

Just for the record — and I’ve mentioned this to Parker already — our local coverage on the presidential candidates, when they stop by, has definitely given longer, higher-profile coverage to McCain.

During his two-day March visit here, both stories on McCain were at the top of 1A.

Clinton’s visits got Metro front in December (marquee treatment) and January (paired with Edwards stop that same day.)

Obama, in contrast, got A1 for his recent stop in Cape G, but inside A for his big rally here on Feb. 2, and inside Sat. paper for his Friday night rally in late Oct.
