How to get your events listed on STLtoday and printed in the Post-Dispatch
We’ve just implemented a new calendar. It’s a new way to feature events for your school or church, your bar or restaurant, your band or group. We hope it makes submitting and finding events on STLtoday.com, in the Post-Dispatch and in Go! a whole lot easier. This will give you more control over listing your event and make it easier for our readers and your customers to find out what is happening in the St. Louis area.
To find an event:
Go to our new events page and start searching! You can search for movies, restaurants, performers or events. You can also search by day by clicking on the events calendar in the middle of the stltoday.com home page.
To get your event listed:
1. If you’re not registered with STLtoday, you’ll need to sign up in our member center.
2. If you’re already a member, great. If not, you’re not, follow the registration steps to sign up.
3. Then you’ll also need to register with our events page. Please use the same username and password that you used on your STLtoday registration. Once you’ve completed this logon, the hard part’s over. We apologize for the inconvenience of the double registration. It’s something we hope to have corrected very quickly. That’s why it’s important you have the same user name and password for both registrations.
4. Once you’re registered, you can add your own listings. You can follow a simple step-by-step process to add your event. Be sure to fill out the description and key words if you want to attract a bigger audience to your event listing. When you’re finished with your listing, you should be able to see a preview under the mylistings header at the top right corner of the events page. You can edit or correct any listing that you enter.
NOTE: We already have LOTS of events already on our site. You may want to search for your event before you attempt to enter it, just to be sure someone else hasn’t already entered it for you. It could save you from duplicating efforts.
More information about our calendar can be found at the events support center.
Effective Jan. 23, we will only accept listings that are submitted online. No faxed, snail mail or e-mail events will be accepted.
