Citing “very large gaps in news coverage of the Obama administration,” political commentator Tucker Carlson says he’ll launch a right-leaning web site — the dailycaller.com — within weeks.

Michael O’Brien of the Hill’s Blog Briefing Room quotes Carlson:

“We are a general-interest newspaper-format style site. There just aren’t enough people covering this administration and telling the people what’s going on.”

Carlson said the site’s format will resemble the Huffington Post’s.

Teo Molin of HumanEvents.com reports:

Carlson was optimistic, noting that while there are many conservative news sites, there is “room for a center of gravity to this administration in Washington, and we hope to be that.”

“We’re getting a version of socialism and nobody cares,” said Carlson. The Daily Caller will provide a “vital message, goal and crusade.”

Among his priorities is a need to “adhere to the highest standards of accuracy,” he noted, mentioning the necessary oversight of the expansive “aggregate” section.

Mr. P. Thanks for the heads-up. I will certainly look for it and possibly the Platform could link to it. The PD could learn something from this message. No media outlet is appropriately covering the WH. At press conferences, Gibbs just stands up there and jokes around. Ha-ha-ha aren’t we funny and never answers questions. When it gets tough, he just says, “I haven’t talked to the president about that.” Yeah - right!
I really like Tucker and so glad he got himself out of that hell-hole at MSNBC. I think they were just paying him to keep quite during the election. He was never on the air.

“Adhere to teh highest standards of accuracy”..now that will be change we can believe in..and oh so rare in today’s media.

Did anyone see the news this week in the Post Dispatch that said that “only” 39% of Americans considered themselves Republicans. The Post conveniently left out the other part of the survey: only 39% of Americans consider themselves Democrats.

Yep..Tucker is on to something!

Let’s see, Tucker Carlson has managed to not have any program he has been associated with to go on longer than 3 - 4 years.

Now that he is 40, he can no longer claim to be the “fresh new face”.

Basically he is a light weight libertarian with the depth of a wading pool.

“…Did anyone see the news this week in the Post Dispatch that said that “only” 39% of Americans considered themselves Republicans… only 39% of Americans consider themselves Democrats.

ah…

illogic…

i hate to bust your bubble…

but a Washington Post/ABC news poll has…

only 21% of Americans identify themselves as repuplikans.

i know you didn’t hear or see in on ‘faux news’.
