Two small daily papers each drop a day of publication

A financially strapped newspaper chain is dropping two days of publication for two small dailies in Minnesota and Wisconsin, the newspaper industry journal Editor & Publisher reports. Beginning next week, the Mesabi Daily News in Virginia, Minn., won’t publish on Mondays and the Daily Press in Ashland, Wis., won’t publish on Tuesdays.
