PlayStation Store goes down for maintenance
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Starting this morning, the online shopping service known as the PlayStation Store will shutter for the day while upgrades are installed.
The store, accessible through the PlayStation Network, closes about 10 a.m. St. Louis time and reopens sometime just after midnight tonight. A preview of what shoppers can expect after the upgrade appears at PlayStation.Blog.
With the store upgrade comes a firmware update, version 2.30, that PlayStation 3 users must download and install prior to using the revamped store.
During the upgrade, however, gamers still will be able to access and share content through the network.
