Prepare to be inundated by Sims
Is there such a thing as too much Sims? Or not enough?
We’ll find out in a couple of months when Electronic Arts starts distributing “The SimCity Box,” a collection of five games culled from the world-famous strategic life-simulation SimCity franchise.
EA says it’s offering the pack mainly to attract gamers not yet swept up by “The Sims,” which debuted as “SimCity” in 1989. The suggested retail price for the pack will be $39.99. If you bought the games separately, this bundle would run around $120.
Inside the pack is:
SimCity 4, the latest in the flagship SimCities series, which lets players shape the simulated landscape so as to fine-tune the city’s surrounding environment.
SimCity Societies, in which players build whole cultures and civilizations as well as cities.
SimCity Societies: Destinations, an expansion pack for creating recreational environments for SimCity dwellers.
SimCity 4: Rush Hour, a transportation infrastructure-themed expansion.
The Sims Carnival SnapCity, which combines puzzle solving with city building.
Though SimCity Box is due in June, a specific date wasn’t announced.
