In anticipation of “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots,” game publisher Konami and the folks over at PlayStation.Blog have introduced a special feature for MGS4 fans.

The new “Metal Gear Mondays” debuted this week at PlayStation.Blog, offering stories news and updates leading up to the MGS4 release June 12. And over at Konami’s website, there’s Metal Gear Online, a place for game details, feature sets and expansion pack descriptions.

The MGO site is in beta and requires a couple of key acquisitions prior to participation. Details are over at the PS Blog. Actual use of the beta however won’t be available until Thursday.

MGO4 is actually the seventh installment in the mighty “Metal Gear” saga. This latest chapter, exclusively for the PlayStation 3 platform, features a mercenary war stirred by the new entity Liquid Ocelot, who lords over the five largest private military companies in the game, and the efforts by Solid Snake to stop him.
