Alone in the Dark delayed for PlayStation 3
David Sheets
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Looks like PlayStation 3 will remain dark for the latest “Alone in the Dark” a little longer than expected.

A problem with the frame rate in the PS3 version has forced developer Eden Games to push back release until later this year, according to producer Nour Polloni, who announced the delay during an interview with VideoGamer.com. The reason for the problem and the details behind it were not made clear.

Other versions of the game for Xbox 360, Wii and PS3’s little brother PlayStation 2 are expected on time June 24.

“Alone in the Dark,” published by Atari, actually is the fifth installment of the popular survival-horror series starring Edward Carnby, an investigator of paranormal activities checking out strange goings-on in New York’s Central Park. The series debuted for PC in 1992.
