Glow-in-dark Xbox 360 is, well, interesting

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

There are so many great reasons to have a glow-in-the-dark game console. And if you give Game Guy a few minutes, he might think of one.

But for those who already have, the site XCM promises the arrival soon of new Xbox 360 shells that glow green in the dark.

Right now though, the XCM site isn’t where one orders them; instead, XCM lists other sites it says are promising to take pre-orders.

How, uh, wonderful.

There’s no special science here; the chemiluminescent case mods are made of a plastic that absorbs ambient light and transforms it into an Xbox-green glow, making the consoles look like toys from the Incredible Hulk’s playroom.

Better still, the cases are translucent, so that in normal light the Xbox’s inner workings are clearly visible — perhaps the coolest thing about this mod, in Game Guy’s opinion.

But, hey, having your latest “red ring of death” framed in an otherworldly green light probably would be pretty, too.
