The (second) fix is almost in for Favre and ‘Madden’ fans
“Madden” fans should have settled into their new groove by now. The game famously known by the name “Madden NFL 09″ has been available a couple of weeks, and some of the really intense gamers probably have pushed their digital teams to the Super Bowl by now.
Two weeks also is enough time to find out what’s wrong with “Madden” and urge publisher Electronic Arts to fix it.
EA, though, already caught a clue, has distributed a patch to stamp out the most irritating bugs and is working on a second. (The game should automatically update and request patches when players reinstall it on their consoles and log in to their online networks.) You can see a list of the bugs on a producer blog at EA’s “Madden” website.
On the blog, EA also has included three or four workarounds to use until the second patch becomes available. EA says that ought to happen in about three weeks.
Our favorite fix here at Game Guy HQ involves Brett Favre, the “Madden” cover boy this year and a wrench in EA’s planning. The former Packers quarterback announced his retirement from football two days after EA stamped millions of “Madden” box covers with his image. Worse, he later unretired and came back as a New York Jet.
Patch 2 will add Favre back into the game donning Jets green and white. So, for the first time in two decades of “Madden,” the game’s cover boy will not “play” for the same team he promotes on the box.
You’ll see online versions of the box cover refashioned for timeliness (right), however.

Madden Curse is in effect. This guy created a disaster for the Packers and “The Curse” should take care of him this season.
I bet against Favre in every category I could find.
I went under 345 completions for year, under 3,850 passing yards, and under 26 td passes for year. Solid gold bets I found at this site

Anybody has any opinions let me know. I made money in past on both Mcnabb and Shaun Alexander.
