Tiger Woods is back on the links — in digital form
Probably the only time you’ll see Tiger Woods in action the rest of this year will be in a video game.
“Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09″ from Electronic Arts’ division called EA Sports debuted today for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2 systems (There’s also an “All-Play” version coming out on Wii for non-fans of golf). It features everyone’s favorite links lizard on the box and the same swingin’ time inside, but sports a few changes to distinguish it from last year’s model.
Among them: coaching tips from Tiger’s swing coach, Hank Haney; a “club tuner” to accommodate individual swing strengths and preferences, and a more robust online engine allowing up to four players on one hole at a time.
Not found in the game so far is the famous “Jesus shot” of digital Tiger teeing off atop a water hazard that supposedly turned up in last year’s edition of the game. EA Sports has introduced a TV ad — recently, a popular viral video — that spoofs the Jesus shot.
You’d think though that if Tiger really had that kind of divine ability he would have healed his own knee by now.

I just bought the 09 for PS2 but it doesn’t have the club tuner on it. Is this something that they only made available for PS3?
