PlayStation 2 revelation still shocks the world

Here it is days after the first report and the gaming media continues to be shocked by research showing Sony’s PlayStation 2 was the most-played console of 2008.
They shouldn’t be. PS2 continues to have two things going for it:
* It doesn’t cost much to own.
* There are plenty of games available for it.
* It doesn’t crash and go dark all the time.
Obviously, the three hallmarks of a good gaming console.
Our PS2 was busier this weekend than my nephew’s new PS3 or Xbox 360.
