‘Fallout 3′ download found to be corrupted, publisher says
Game publisher Bethesda Softworks says the new downloadable content for “Fallout 3″ called “The Pitt” was found to be corrupted and has been pulled from wide distribution.
“The Pitt,” set in the armageddon-scoured remains of Pittsburgh, debuted today on Xbox Live but already has suffered from complaints of glitches in the game environment and of the game play freezing up.
Bethesda soon afterward dispatched a note saying the English version of “The Pitt” was corrupted, though didn’t mention how, and that it had been pulled from distribution on Xbox Live.
Similar problems are said to infect the PC version. Details on how Bethesda was handling those was not given.
Bethesda said it was investigating the situation and would have a resolution available as soon as possible. Currently, the download for Xbox is just over 492 megabytes and the one for PC is about 680 megabytes. There’s suspicion, however, that the file sizes might have something to do with the problem.

UPDATE: Bethesda says “The Pitt” had a corrupted file that was repaired and the DLC is now back on Xbox Live. Anyone who already bought “Pitt” need only remove the broken content, and they won’t be charged to replace it. Here’s how to do that.
