Prince Fielder will be cover star for ‘The Bigs 2′
“The Bigs” goes from Prince Albert to just Prince.
Take-Two Interactive says it’s going with Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder on the cover of the latest “Bigs” called, appropriately enough, “The Bigs 2,” set for release on all major consoles and PlayStation Portable on July 7.
Fielder steps in for another first baseman, the St. Louis Cardinals’ own Albert Pujols, who was seen taking a swing on the first “Bigs” when it came out in the United States on June 7, 2007. “The Bigs” is an arcade-style baseball game highlighting stylistic rather than realistic design, and is described as more “street” than Take-Two’s straight-up “MLB 2K” series.
Pujols had the props to remain as the box-cover star, having won the National League MVP last season. But Fielder was key to the perennial also-ran Brewers making their first playoff run in 26 years. Fielder also is the youngest major leaguer to belt more than 50 home runs in a season.
So, yes, maybe Fielder did have the tougher job last year.
