New ‘Harry Potter’ game coming in June
David Sheets
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

The game version of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” based on the penultimate installment of the popular novel series, is expected to debut June 30, a couple weeks before the movie version.

Game publisher Electronic Arts and movie maker Warner Bros. confirmed the release date today. The movie, meanwhile, should be in theaters July 15. It was originally supposed to appear last fall but was pushed back in part by the media writers’ strike earlier that year.

As you may recall, “Half-Blood Prince” takes place during Harry’s sixth year at Hogwarts and dwells a little on his transformation from kid to teen — and all the headaches that implies. Details of the game weren’t released, but Potter fans can expect “Half-Blood Prince” to appear on all major consoles, as well as PC and Mac, on the same date.
