‘Tiger Woods,’ ‘Grand Slam Tennis’ debuts are moved up a week

If you were waiting for the Wii versions of either “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10″ or “Grand Slam Tennis” to land in your hot little hands, the wait has been shortened.

Electronic Arts announced today that both titles will be released on June 10, a week earlier than planned.

The company said it moved up the date to better coincide with the release of Nintendo’s new Wii MotionPlus, a plug-in expansion module for the Wii Remote game controller that improves the controller’s ability to measure complex motions. Nintendo has scheduled MotionPlus for a June 8 release.

Both “Tiger Woods” and “Grand Slam Tennis” for Wii will rely heavily on the MotionPlus module. Limited-edition versions of the golf game will come packaged with the module.
