“Need for Speed” shifts into another gear. The next installment of the durable racing franchise, “SHIFT,” which looks like a true simulation instead of an arcade title, debuts next month for Sony and Microsoft platforms and iPhone. (A conversion for Nintendo platforms, titled “Nitro,” comes out about the same time.)
But don’t take Game Guy’s word on its looks; peek over at the “SHIFT” channel on YouTube, where a smattering of video clips give you an idea of what to expect in mid-September.
