Dates announced for ‘Fallout 3′ downloads
Dates have been attached to new downloads promised for the alternate-history action shooter “Fallout 3,” publisher Bethesda Softworks announced.
“Broken Steel,” the third download developed and the one that changes the game’s ending, will be made available via the PlayStation Network on Sept. 24. Earlier downloads “Operation Anchorage” and “The Pitt,” both made for Xbox 360, become available Oct. 1.
Fourth and fifth downloads “Point Lookout” and “Mothership Zeta” are slated for Oct. 8.
In “Broken Steel,” dead players from the main game instead wind up in comas and then join the Brotherhood of Steel. “Point Lookout” puts players in a swamp against local yokels and tribal ghouls, while “Mothership Zeta” unfolds entirely within an alien spacecraft.
If you don’t mind waiting, Bethesda will release a “Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition” disc package with all five expansions aboard Oct. 13 for PS3 and Xbox.
