Who’s having problems with PS3 update?
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Since Sony released a version 3 firmware update for PlayStation 3, complaints have poured in from PS3 users of games freezing up and system crashes following the update’s installation. PS3 demands the installation at startup, so there’s no way to avoid it or to boot back up into an earlier version of the firmware.
Fear not, though — Sony’s looking into the problem, according to a post at PlayStation.blog.
But Game Guy wants to know: How many people in the St. Louis area have suffered trouble? How many haven’t?

No issues here, downloaded it last night, installed fine. Very nice. Especially like the feature where you can use the right stick to FF/RWD during BR playback.
No problems here either, Dave. Downloaded it yesterday afternoon. All games work just fine, and no crashes. The new update has all kinds of killer features. Love the new interface! Hope you can work it out, bro.
No issues here either. Downloaded last night, everything is fine today…………so far.
I DO hate it when we anticipate problems as compared to anticipating excellence……
I’m not from St. Louis, I’m California but, I’m having problems since I downloaded version 3 firmware the begining of September. My games and DVDs freezes or don’t load at all. I was about to buy a new ps3 until I saw this website & another just like this one
I did have some freezing with Uncharted as expected, but that was resolved. Since I updated to 3.0, I cannot see friends when they are online, and I can’t join any online games. I can get online and earn trophies, and even send outgoing messages: But I never receive messages. Any advice?
